We don’t just care for pets—we take the time to truly understand them.
By observing behavior, body language, energy levels, and routines, we’re able to meet your pet exactly where they are. Every visit is adjusted in real time based on what your pet is communicating—whether they need stimulation, structure, or a calm, supportive presence.
Because when a pet feels understood, everything else falls into place.
This isn’t just a walk or a quick drop-in.
Every visit is hands-on, engaging, and intentionally designed—whether that means structured movement, enrichment-based play, or simply being fully present with your pet.
The goal isn’t just to get through the visit—it’s to create an experience that leaves your pet fulfilled.
With certifications in canine enrichment, communication, and psychology—along with pet first aid, CPR, and professional training—your pet is in capable, educated hands.
Every decision made during a visit is rooted in understanding behavior, safety, and what truly benefits your pet.
Hi there! I'm Stephanie Bassler! I'm a proud wife and mom of two teenage boys, and we call Dover, New Hampshire home. I had 3 cats and 1 dog, but sadly, a few months ago my cat Timon passed from heart failure and a month later my dog Si (sigh) passed from a gut disease. It’s definitely been a rough go, but I am now a blessed owner of 2 healthy cats—Baymaxx and Simba (Timon’s brother).
My heart has always been rooted in helping others, which led me to earn an associate degree in Early Childhood Education and a bachelor’s in Family and Child Services. Over the years, I’ve served in deeply impactful roles, including as an Early Head Start home visitor at the Community Action Partnership of Strafford County and at the Department for Children, Youth, & Families for child protective services.
These experiences shaped my values—compassion, patience, and trust—and instilled in me a deep sense of purpose. Today, I bring that same heart and expertise to Playtime Adventures. I’m certified in pet psychology, dog walking, pet sitting, canine enrichment & communication, animal Reiki, and pet first aid/CPR. My mission is to change the standard of care by nurturing both the body and mind of every pet I care for.
